Site News: 30th March
Howdy.
Today, we upgraded to the newest version of Wordpress (2.5), so it might take Keby and I a bit to get used to shit in the back-end, but overall, you shouldn’t notice much of a difference. I’ve already fixed up all the CSS that was being retarded today, and I’ve added a new header image to celebrate the upgrade, because I’m sure you’re just as excited as I am.
Believe it or not, the plan for the Blag is not only to provide you with free hardstyle and hardcore downloads, but to also establish somewhat of a community around the harder genres. Seeing as we now have a few regulars, namely Chase, Patho, Illusion, DarkSquad and Adam (probably even more, but don’t seem to comment), I feel I can probably open site registration. It doesn’t do a whole lot, namely it saves you from having to type in your name, email, and URL each time. It’s up the top next to the Request tab.
On the community topic, I’ve been thinking about opening up a forum or something similar to promote growth.. or something. We’ll see.
There’s also another idea I’m toying with. Some of you might have something you want to contribute, whether it’s a mix, a song you’ve produced, or just some tracks you’ve found and want to share. If you’re one of these people, and have registered, I can probably bump you up to a writer or something, so you can get your ideas and shit on here. If anyone is interested, just pop something in the comments or something.
There may also possibly be a new way of delivering tracks to you, but I’m still testing it out, so I’ll get back to you.
Also, we now have a nifty little gallery that we can shove into posts, so if you’ve got any photos from an event you’ve been too, let us know (or read above about registration). You can check out an example of the gallery here: Q-Dance 2008 Australian Tour - Sydney. Yes, I know it’s a bit broken, but we’re working on it.
So yup, that’s about it. Thanks for your input/thanks everyone. It’s good to see our work is appreciated, and everyone is having a fun time in the comments. Keep ‘em comin’. Tell your friends, spread the word.
Dream big.. party hard.
